Effective immediately, any truck driver who falls ill can use the DocStop hotline to arrange a consultation with a doctor via video call on their own smartphone—free of charge, quickly, and throughout Europe. DocStop is collaborating with the Austrian company TeleDoc to provide this service. TeleDoc has a network of multilingual doctors in many European countries, enabling patients to speak to a doctor in their own language.

The time required for a visit to a general practitioner is on average ten times higher than the time required for a medical consultation via the TeleDoc service. Only in two percent of cases is a follow-up appointment with a doctor necessary after treatment via TeleDoc. In addition to general practitioners, the TeleDoc network also includes specialists from almost all medical departments who are available for consultation and diagnosis.
